Yes! ShadowClip is completely free to use. You get 1-minute clips, 500MB uploads, and 10GB of storage. No credit card required.
No account is required to clip and download videos. If you want to share clips online, you can do so as a guest (24-hour expiry) or sign in for longer expiration options and a dashboard to manage your clips.
Guest uploads expire after 24 hours. Signed-in users can choose expiration periods up to 30 days, with 10GB of total storage.
ShadowClip supports most common video formats including MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV, and AVI. For images, we support JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF.
No. All video processing happens locally in your browser using FFmpeg.wasm. Your video only leaves your device if you choose to upload it for sharing. Even then, we don't analyze or process your video content.
ShadowClip uses SharedArrayBuffer for FFmpeg.wasm processing, which requires modern browser security features. Chrome 90+, Firefox 90+, Safari 15.4+, and Edge 90+ all support this.
